The show was over but the laughs continued to ring as Emily Atack headed home with new boyfriend Liam after completing her latest set of stand-up performances.

The actress and comedian was hand-in-hand with former Big Brother contestant McGough as she left London venue The Clapham Grand after hosting a wrap party in her honour.

Atack, 32, had just finished three nights of stand-up comedy performances for her popular self-titled TV show at the south London address and was in high spirits as she made an exit.

The British star greeted onlookers with a beaming smile and caught the eye in a gorgeous patterned evening gown complete with a thigh-high slit.

She accessorised the look with a pair of strappy black heels, while her hair was neatly styled in a conventional centre-parting.

Joining his girlfriend, McGough opted for a black patterned shirt and brown trousers as he followed her towards a waiting car.

Atack and McGough – a tree surgeon who enjoyed fleeting fame after appearing on reality TV show Big Brother in 2007 – first appeared in July, just days after being romantically linked.

In a departure from her comedic roots, Atack – who rose to fame as Charlotte Hinchcliffe on The Inbetweeners – will open up about her ordeal of being hounded by sex pests from a young age in a new documentary.

Emily Atack: Sexual Harassment & Me will see the star discuss her experience with her family, while also speaking to some of the men who have sent her explicit content in an attempt to look at the psychology behind their behaviour.

The BBC Two film will follow the Celebrity Juice star as she tries to understand why she is being harassed on a daily basis, with Atack noting how she has had to endure being targeted from “a very young age”.

Atack said of the documentary: ‘With this documentary I hope to find answers to the many questions I have asked myself throughout my life and I hope it will also help thousands of others.’

On why the documentary is ‘close to’ her ‘heart’, Emily said: ‘Over the past two and a half years I have been speaking out about my own personal experiences of online sexual harassment. In that time one thing has become clear, I am not alone.’
