Many agents want funny anecdotes about memorable viewings and have decided to turn them into a book.
Adam Bailey, who describes himself as a real estate agent, has turned his own four decades of experience – including some very peculiar showings and dealings with sellers – into a book.
The book, published by Crestwell Publishing, has the rather long title, SOLD!: And the Drunk, Drug-Dealing, Drug-Taking, Prostitute, Sex-Addicted, Sex-Abusing, Fraudulent, Filthy, Filthy, Disgusting, Weird Sellers and Tenants Moved On to Pasture New!
It includes anecdotes about when Bailey “found a salesman asleep in his armchair naked from the waist down with his penis in his hand and with a pornographic film playing on the television and a box of tissues next to him during a screening.”
Another includes seeing a gentleman sitting wide awake in his armchair in his underpants playing a harmonica.
He has also reportedly run into drug gangs, cannabis factories and been mistaken for a male stripper.
The publisher insists that all these stories are true.
The suggestion for the book’s Amazon listing said: “There is an old saying that everyone has a book in them, but it is just that, a saying, because in reality most people would struggle to write a few pages let alone write a full book and get it published.
“Adam Bailey was one of those people. But with the help of a bestselling author, he got his stories published.
“If you’re a real estate agent, you’ll resonate with them—and no doubt you’ll find them absolutely hilarious! You’ll probably find some of them quite shocking, too.
