House Of The Dragon Fans Make Their Opinions Clear On Episode 4’s Love Triangle

During the events of “House of the Dragon” Episode 4, the ultimate taboo finally rears its head. It is widely known that Targaryens believe in wedding brothers and sisters to keep the bloodlines pure, as they view themselves as living gods in many respects. Incest is not only practiced but accepted as normal in the dynasty, so when Daemon (Matt Smith) and Rhaenyra find themselves in the throes of passion on the Street of Silk, it wasn’t exactly a shock. The big surprise is that Daemon cuts the encounter short when Rhaenyra becomes more of an active participant than he bargained for. But Rhaenrya’s night doesn’t end there. Fans were ecstatic to see the young princess explore her sexuality with nonother than her pledged Kingsguard, Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel).

Fans on both sides of the love triangle weighed in on their respective favorite couples. Those such as @rammy_c8 were solely on Team Criston, but others couldn’t ignore the magnetism between Daemon and Rhaenyra, despite the obvious controversy. “[A]pplause for Matt Smith and Milly Alcock’s top tier chemistry. They had me rooting for Rhaenyra and Daemon,” commended @missdanystorm. But most significantly, fans approve of Rhaenyra’s empowerment in getting exactly what she wants. “I support Rhaenyra’s rights, but most importantly, I support her wrongs,” posted @debnmtay.
