Friends star Courteney Cox has responded to Kanye West’s criticism of the show on social media with a hilarious video response.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, the rapper admitted that not all of his tweets were written by him, specifically pointing to one that said he didn’t believe Friends was fun.

However, it seems that he agrees with the writer’s opinion, as he wrote on Instagram: “but I wish I had” [written the tweet].

The actress then posted a video on Instagram of herself listening to West’s 2008 single ‘Heartless’ and bopping along while scrolling through Instagram like you do.

When she gets to his post and reads it, she looks unimpressed and immediately turns off the music – all very stern – and doesn’t seem like she’s starting a feud, though she captioned the post: “I bet old Kayne thought Friends was fun”.

Kanye – or Ye as he is now known – has since deleted that post.

The Monica Geller actress had recently reflected on Friends reunion show and broke fans’ hearts when she admitted there wouldn’t be another reunion.

“I don’t feel like I’ve closed it… [but] we’re not going to do another reunion, Cox told Faith Hill for Variety‘s Actors on Actors series. “Can you imagine? We’ll be like, ‘We’re 80! Let’s go back in!’”

She said it was a great experience, and although she hasn’t had an end to the experience, she doesn’t want to.

“I don’t want closure from this place [the Friends experience]. So I don’t have closure, but I just feel like it was the luckiest… I can’t believe that I got that part and that I was able to make those friends and be a part of something that still going.”

Friends streams on Netflix in the UK, where it also airs daily on Comedy Central. In the US you can stream the show on HBO Max.
