Maya Hawke Reveals Her Dream Guest Star For Stranger Things

The cast of “Stranger Things” sat down with BuzzFeed ahead of the release of Season 4 Volume 1. Among the questions posed was, “If any actor could have a cameo on Stranger Things, who would you want it to be?” With little hesitation, Maya Hawke answered, “Adam Sandler.” Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington on the series, piggybacked on her opinion, saying, “Honestly, that would be great.” Natalia Dyer also seemed to agree, stating, “Hooray for Adam Sandler.”

While Sandler’s over-the-top antics might not fit in super well with the nostalgia-laden drama of “Stranger Things,” the actor has definitely gone all in on dramatic roles in the past. Take his part as a lovesick entrepreneur in “Punch-Drunk Love” or his turn as a desperate, degenerate gambler in “Uncut Gems.” With these kinds of roles in mind, Sandler could certainly fit in as a convincing part of Hawkins.

Meanwhile, Sadie Sink, who plays Max Mayfield, thinks that they should bring in another major ’80s actor, while Eduardo Franco shot for the stars with his answer, confidently suggesting Daniel Day-Lewis. Based on the success of Season 4 of “Stranger Things,” showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer might be able to convince almost anyone to join them in Season 5. Plus, since big actors like Aaron Paul and Zac Efron have already revealed themselves to be fans of the Netflix series (via E! Online), the sky’s the limit for who might take a trip to Hawkins next.
