A passenger has expressed concern after spotting tape on the wing of one Jetstar flight to Bali.
It did not pose a safety risk to passengers and staff on board the plane, the airline said.
The tape used by aircraft engineers is a pressure-sensitive aluminum tape used to perform minor repairs on aircraft.
The airline said peeling paint was a “common occurrence” on the plane, which has been in service for more than four years.
Jetstar is currently preparing all of its 787 aircraft for full-wing repaint, with each aircraft taking weeks to complete.
