Jamie Spears’ lawyers are pushing back and want Britney Spears involved

Britney Spears’ conservatorship may be over, but the star is still in the midst of an ongoing legal situation with her father, Jamie Spears. Things have gotten pretty serious between the two over the past few months, and Jamie is currently being deposed by his daughter’s legal team. But via a recent filing, the Spears patriarch’s attorneys are making some new arguments against the deposition. In fact, they claim it is not fair to their client.

Jamie Spears’ legal team argued, via court documents obtained by TMZ, that their client should not have to sit for a deposition to address the various allegations his daughter has made against him. According to the argument in the documents, “The right to take a deposition can rarely be denied.” Earlier, a judge ruled that Britney did not need to be deposed, while her father wanted to. With that, Jamie also found fault with his daughter’s attorney, Mathew Rosengart, saying he didn’t find enough reason for his daughter’s deposition to be struck down.
