Rapps Snoop Dogg reacted to the news of Queen Elizabeth II died Friday and shared a clip on Instagram recalling when she defended him while he was fighting a murder case in The United Kingdom.

Snoop Dogg, 50, was on tour in 1994 while facing charges of first- and second-degree murder.

The British wanted him out of the country with a tabloid headline that read:Kick this evil bastard out.”

In a February interview with DJ Whoo Kidrevealed Snoop Dogg that the Queen of England publicly defended him, saying that he had done nothing wrong in the country.

“Queen, n—a, bow down. When the queen speaks, bow down. It’s Harry and Williams’ grandmother you’re digging,” Snoop said. “You think they weren’t there saying, ‘Grandma, please let him in, Grandma. He’s okay. We love his music.’

“”You know Harry, I’ll let him in for you. He’s not that bad after all, and he’s pretty sweet.” … The queen, that’s my girl.”

Snoop Dogg is loved by Royalty

The manslaughter charges Snoop Dogg faced were related to the fatal shooting of the gang member Philip Woldermariam.

In a 2015 interview with The GuardianSnoop credited Princes William and Harry with helping Queen Elizabeth II make her decision to defend the rapper despite the troubling allegations against him.

“Those grandsons grew up to be Prince William and Harry, so I had an influence on them and they had an influence on their grandmother, which allowed me to come into this beautiful country,” Snoop said. “They love my music, and that is what it is. There is a mutual love and respect.”

Snoop was just one of several artists who took to social media to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II, who died at the age of 96.

Other artists who mourned the queen include Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Janet Jackson, Eve and Nicki Minaj.
